BWX Technologies (BWXT) Announces Hurricane Helene Relief

BWX Technologies, Inc., (NYSE: BWXT) the parent company of Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS), today announced a $100,000 donation to the Unicoi County United Way to support the recovery efforts underway in the Erwin, Tennessee community. This contribution will directly support emergency response teams on the ground, helping to provide essential supplies, medical aid, shelter and long-term recovery services to those affected by this devastating event.

“The entire BWXT employee community has been saddened by the tragedy from the historic level of flooding in the Erwin community caused by Hurricane Helene,” said Rex Geveden, president and chief executive officer. “We believe in the strength of the community and are here to assist our employees and neighbors across the Erwin community as they begin the long road to recovery. NFS has been a proud part of the community since 1957, and will be here now and through the future.”

This donation is just one part of BWXT’s ongoing efforts to support disaster relief and rebuilding initiatives. In addition to this immediate financial donation, BWXT is providing avenues for employees and others to donate directly to the relief fund and is organizing volunteer efforts to assist in the recovery process.
