Assurant adds Jeff Unterreiner to management committee

Assurant Inc. (NYSE: AIZ) appointed Jeff Unterreiner, President of U.S. Connected Living, to its Management Committee effective January 1, 2026, according to a company statement.

Unterreiner oversees the company's U.S. Connected Living business, which includes protection programs and services for service providers and financial institutions. He has more than two decades of experience across Assurant's Global Lifestyle operations.

"Jeff's experience and insight bring a valuable, complementary perspective that strengthens our collective leadership as we accelerate innovation, deepen client partnerships, and deliver end-to-end solutions," said Keith Demmings, President and Chief Executive Officer of Assurant.

The appointment supports Assurant's focus on expanding protection products across mobile, cable, consumer electronics, retail, and financial services sectors. Biju Nair, Executive Vice President and President of Global Connected Living, continues to focus on global strategy and partnerships for the business operating in 21 markets worldwide.

Assurant provides protection services for connected devices, homes, and automobiles in partnership with brands globally. The company operates as a Fortune 500 entity across 21 countries.
