Ashland launches nature-based crop protection dispersant globally

Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) announced the global launch of agrimer™ eco-disperse OD, a patented polymeric dispersant developed for non-aqueous crop protection formulations, according to a company press release dated Sept. 22, 2026.

The product is derived from transformed vegetable oil and is part of Ashland's Transformed Vegetable Oils (TVO™) technology platform. The company describes the dispersant as inherently biodegradable and microplastic-free, designed to stabilize and uniformly disperse water-insoluble active ingredients in agrochemical formulations.

According to Ashland, the product is intended to address challenges including active ingredient settling and nozzle clogging, while improving leaf adhesion, coverage, and rain fastness in crop protection applications.

Alessandra Faccin, senior vice president and general manager of Life Sciences at Ashland, said the product "expands our TVO™ platform with a patented technology that helps formulators achieve both sustainability and performance objectives."

Jean J. Gulka, global business director of Life Sciences at Ashland, stated the launch "reinforces the scalability and versatility of our innovative TVO™ technology platform" and that the company views TVO™ as "an important engine for future innovation and growth."
