Artivion completes $175M acquisition of Endospan

Artivion Inc. (NYSE: AORT) completed its acquisition of Endospan, an Israeli medical device company, for $175 million less offsets for previously provided loans, the companies announced. The deal includes potential additional consideration of up to $200 million based on U.S. commercial performance of Endospan's NEXUS Aortic Arch System over the next two years.

The acquisition follows FDA premarket approval of the NEXUS system in April 2026. The FDA designated NEXUS as the first off-the-shelf endovascular solution designed to treat aortic arch disease, including chronic aortic dissections, in patients at high risk for open surgical repair.

Herzliya, Israel-based Endospan specializes in endovascular solutions for complex aortic pathologies. The NEXUS system received CE Mark approval in Europe and has been distributed by Artivion in Europe, the Middle East and Africa since 2019.

"The FDA approval of the NEXUS system was a pivotal moment for aortic surgeons seeking a technology specifically designed to treat the ascending and aortic arch," said Kevin Mayberry, Chief Executive Officer at Endospan.

Atlanta-based Artivion develops medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery. The company's product portfolio includes aortic stent grafts, surgical sealants, mechanical heart valves, and implantable cardiac and vascular tissues. Artivion markets products in more than 100 countries.

"Our acquisition of Endospan and its NEXUS system completes our market-leading, three-pronged aortic arch portfolio," said Pat Mackin, Artivion Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer.

The information is based on a press release statement from the companies.
