Arkestro announced a multi-year partnership with Valvoline Inc. (NYSE: VVV) for its predictive procurement platform. The San Francisco-based company reported that Valvoline has achieved cost reductions in procurement processes across product and service categories since implementing the platform.
According to the press release, Valvoline has realized 14% annual savings on maintenance, repair, and operations spend and 27% annual savings across corporate stores for snow removal and landscaping services since partnering with Arkestro last year. The platform uses artificial intelligence, game theory, and behavioral science to create sourcing events aimed at encouraging competitive pricing.
"By leveraging our predictive procurement platform, we're helping Valvoline build a more dynamic, data-driven procurement operation," said Rob DeSantis, CEO and Co-Founder of Arkestro.
Tony Orso, Senior Purchasing Manager at Valvoline, stated that the platform helps reduce manual effort in complex service categories. "The platform centralizes our sourcing events and streamlines evaluations, freeing us up to focus on other priorities," Orso said.
As the partnership enters its second year, Valvoline continues expanding its use of Arkestro's platform to streamline evaluations and establish workflows. Valvoline operates more than 2,000 franchised and company-operated service centers across the United States and Canada, completing more than 28 million services annually system-wide.
Arkestro will host its annual Optimal'25 Houston conference on October 29-30, 2025, featuring case studies including Valvoline's implementation of the procurement platform.
