Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco has awarded SLB (NYSE: SLB) a five-year contract to provide stimulation services for its unconventional gas fields, according to a company statement.
The contract encompasses advanced stimulation, well intervention, frac automation, and digital solutions for Saudi Arabia's unconventional gas resources. SLB described the award as part of a broader multi-billion contract supporting what it characterized as one of the largest unconventional gas development programs globally.
The agreement supports Aramco's efforts to diversify its energy portfolio in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 strategy, according to SLB executive vice president Steve Gassen.
"With world-class technology, deep local expertise, and a proven track record in safety and service quality, SLB is well positioned to deliver tailored solutions that could help redefine operational performance in the development of Saudi Arabia's unconventional resources," Gassen stated.
SLB operates in more than 100 countries and provides technology services for oil and gas operations, digital solutions, and energy transition technologies. The Houston-based company's services include hydraulic fracturing, well intervention, and automation systems for unconventional resource development.
The information is based on a press release statement from SLB.
