AeroVironment Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) announced it remains in active negotiations with the U.S. Space Force regarding a contract amendment for ground stations supporting the Satellite Communications Augmentation Resource program.
The Arlington, Virginia-based defense technology company stated the contract was temporarily paused while both parties work on establishing a firm-fixed-price contract for a commercialized product solution with an expedited delivery timeline.
AeroVironment said it is investing in expanded manufacturing capacity in Albuquerque, New Mexico to support growth in its Space and Directed Energy platforms, including manufacturing for the SCAR program.
The company will report third quarter fiscal year 2026 financial results after market close on March 10, 2026, followed by a conference call and webcast at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
The statement comes as AeroVironment works to align its offerings with customer requirements for the Space Force's ground station delivery program.
