Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced an expansion of its collaboration with Amazon Web Services to deliver digital services to public sector, defense and national security organizations. The partnership operates through the Accenture AWS Business Group to create solutions using cloud and AI services.
The collaboration focuses on three areas: workforce transformation with AI, defense and national security mission readiness, and social service and health solutions. The companies aim to reduce operating costs, optimize resource allocation, and improve citizen services and defense capabilities.
Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services serves as an example of the partnership's implementation. Rebecca Harris, secretary of Louisiana DCFS, said the collaboration involves investing in cloud technology that enhances case management, data sharing, and communication for citizens accessing support services.
For workforce transformation, the companies plan to deploy generative AI and agentic AI solutions to automate tasks and processes in public sector organizations. Accenture research indicates 87% of executives agree that AI agents drive process transformation.
Defense and national security solutions will use AWS's secure infrastructure for high-sensitivity operations. The offerings include zero-trust architectures, edge computing for contested environments, and supply chain optimization capabilities.
Social service solutions will feature AI-powered case management and data analytics platforms designed to enable faster benefit determinations and improve service delivery through predictive analytics. The solutions target social benefits and employment programs while maintaining data privacy controls.
The partnership builds on the existing relationship between Accenture and AWS. Jennifer Jackson, AWS Business Group lead at Accenture, stated the solutions will help organizations modernize with cloud and AI while maintaining security and compliance standards.
