AEHRA Teases Premium All-Electric SUV

Milan-based Italian EV company, AEHRA revealed on Wednesday a series of teaser images of its first production model. The yet-to-be-named SUV will be unveiled in October 2022, followed by a sedan in February 2023, with both models scheduled for production in 2025.

The shadowy pictures reveal an unusual shape for an SUV, with a short front-end, a coupe-style body, and a sleek roofline.

AEHRA designer, Filippo Perini, who previously designed vehicles for Lamborghini and Genesis, said that AEHRA’s vision is “to unlock the full design potential afforded by cutting-edge EV platform technology in a manner not previously seen”.

Both the SUV and the sedan will be based on a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis sourced from an unnamed supplier. They will also be equipped with cutting-edge battery tech offering a range of at least 497 miles (800 km).

“The unveiling of the preview images of the first AEHRA model, just four months after the launch of the company, certifies that we remain firmly on track with our ambitious strategy to transform the EV mobility ecosystem with vehicles charged with emotional design and imbued with superior aerodynamic efficiency,” said AEHRA Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Hazim Nada. “We now look forward to revealing the full design and name of the vehicle in October.”

Nada also revealed pricing for the SUV at between $160,000 and $180,000 for the first model. AEHRA is targeting a 2025 market launch, eyeing a gradual roll-out in North America, Europe, UK, China, and the Gulf States, with hopes to sell more than 15,000 SUVs and 15,000 sedans after the first year of production.
