Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) announced the launch of Workday Total Benefits, an AI-based solution designed to consolidate employee benefits management into a single platform, according to a company press release dated Sept. 24, 2026.

The product is composed of four components: Workday Wellness, Benefits Guidance through Self-Service Agent, Life and Money Solutions, and Benefits Administration Services. Workday Wellness, now generally available to U.S. customers, connects benefits providers directly to Workday's platform and automates plan setup and data flows. Early adopter customers reported a 75% reduction in time spent onboarding a new benefits provider.

The Self-Service Agent component allows employees to ask benefits questions in plain language and receive guidance on plan comparisons, enrollment, and life events. That feature is expected to become generally available in October 2026.

Life and Money Solutions, now available to U.S. customers, includes integrations with financial providers such as OnePay, EarnIn, PayPal, Cash App, and Chime for direct deposit, as well as DailyPay for early wage access. Income and employment verification integrations with The Work Number by Equifax are available immediately, with Experian and Checkr integrations expected in late October 2026.

Benefits Administration Services, offered through partners including Strada and Benefit Harbor, are now generally available.

New partners joining the Workday Wellness ecosystem include Bright Horizons, Care.com, Empower, EyeMed, Maven Clinic, Morgan Stanley at Work, Multiply, Oura Ring, SmithRx, WEX, and When. Aon has also joined as a broker and advisor partner.

"Benefits have become incredibly complicated for organizations to manage and too difficult for employees to understand," said David Wachtel, general manager of core HR products at Workday.

The announcement comes as employers project a median 9% increase in health care costs in 2026, according to a Business Group on Health survey cited in the release.
