Workday Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) announced January 8 that Paradox Conversational ATS is now available through its platform. The solution uses conversational AI to streamline hiring processes for frontline workers in retail, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors.
The system allows candidates to search for jobs, apply, interview, and onboard through text-based conversations, replacing traditional application forms and manual processes. According to the company, the solution can complete entire hiring processes in a few days.
The offering follows Workday's acquisition of Paradox and builds on its AI solutions portfolio. Companies currently using the system include 7-Eleven Inc., Ace Hardware, and Valvoline.
"Paradox Conversational ATS removes that friction by helping to streamline up to 90% of hiring tasks and letting candidates apply in minutes via their phone," said Aashna Kircher, group general manager for the office of the CHRO at Workday.
The company reports that organizations using the system experience a 72% average application completion rate through two-minute chat or text applications. Current Paradox customers see an average time-to-hire of three and a half days, according to the press release.
The system automatically delivers offers and onboarding documents by text, resulting in what the company states is a 95% candidate satisfaction rating in 2025.
Workday plans to release Workday Frontline Agent in spring 2026, which will help managers and workers handle time, absence, and scheduling changes through text messages. The company states early adopter customers using this tool have reduced time spent managing these tasks by up to 90%.
Workday serves more than 11,000 organizations worldwide, including over 65% of the Fortune 500 companies.
