Shuttle Pharmaceuticals launches AI agent for drug discovery workflows

March 27, 2026 8:02 AM EDT

Shuttle Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SHPH) announced an update to its molecule.ai platform that introduces new models for evaluating and prioritizing therapeutic candidates. The Gaithersburg, Maryland-based company said the platform now integrates predictive and generative capabilities into a unified system for drug development.

The updated platform can identify relationships between genes and disease pathways and predict compound interactions with biological targets. Shuttle Pharma said these capabilities are combined with existing molecular prediction tools to create a framework for evaluating therapeutic opportunities.

The company also unveiled a preview of an autonomous AI agent system built on frontier AI models. The system is designed to enable multi-step reasoning and multi-agent orchestration across scientific workflows. The agents will process multimodal data, use integrated tools, and execute research tasks.

"This release represents a meaningful step toward fully autonomous therapeutic discovery," said Chris Cooper, Chief Executive Officer. "We are not just improving model performance—we are redefining how drug development workflows are executed."

Shuttle Pharmaceuticals owns a pharmaceutical software AI platform for molecular discovery and early-stage drug development. The company combines AI techniques with scientific workflows to help researchers explore chemical space and evaluate molecular concepts during drug development stages.
