ServiceNow launches autonomous workforce AI specialists

February 26, 2026 9:01 AM EST

ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) announced the launch of its Autonomous Workforce, AI specialists designed to execute enterprise work with defined scope and governance requirements. The company also introduced ServiceNow EmployeeWorks, integrating Moveworks' conversational AI capabilities with ServiceNow's workflow platform.

The Autonomous Workforce deploys AI specialists in specific roles to work alongside human teams. The first specialist available is a Level 1 Service Desk AI Specialist that handles IT support requests including password resets, software access provisioning, and network troubleshooting. ServiceNow reports this specialist resolves assigned IT cases 99% faster than human agents and handles over 90% of employee IT requests at the company.

ServiceNow EmployeeWorks combines Moveworks' conversational AI chat and enterprise search with ServiceNow's portal and workflows. The solution operates within existing collaboration tools like Teams and Slack, connecting natural language requests to automated execution across enterprise systems.

The announcement follows ServiceNow's acquisition of Moveworks, which closed two months prior. Moveworks continues as a standalone product within ServiceNow's portfolio while also being integrated into the ServiceNow AI Platform.

"Businesses don't need more pilots or promises. They need AI that gets work done," said Amit Zavery, president, chief product officer, and chief operating officer at ServiceNow.

ServiceNow EmployeeWorks is generally available. The Level 1 Service Desk AI Specialist is in controlled availability and expected to be generally available in Q2 2026. The information is based on a company press release.
