Penguin Solutions (NASDAQ: PENG) has released an updated version of its ClusterWareAI operating system software, adding an AI-powered operations agent, automated GPU remediation for Kubernetes workloads, and expanded hardware health monitoring, according to a company statement.
The new AI Factory Operations Agent provides administrators with a conversational interface for querying GPU cluster performance using natural language. The company says the agent is intended to accelerate root cause analysis and reduce reliance on specialized expertise. Penguin Solutions described it as the first in a planned series of AI-powered agents for cluster management.
The updated software extends automated remediation to Kubernetes-based inference environments and expands hardware-level monitoring to ensure that only GPUs operating at peak performance are available in inference worker pools. The release also targets detection of "fail-slow" conditions, where hardware components degrade without fully failing, to help maintain consistent GPU utilization.
"At scale, AI infrastructure demands a new level of operational intelligence," said Ian Colle, SVP and Chief Product Officer at Penguin Solutions. "This release advances our vision of intelligent, self-managing AI infrastructure through AI-driven operations, automated remediation, and deep infrastructure awareness."
ClusterWareAI is described by the company as a hardware-agnostic control plane that manages deployment, monitoring, automation, and performance optimization across training, inference, and agentic AI environments. The software is marketed toward enterprises, sovereign AI initiatives, and neocloud providers scaling GPU-based infrastructure.
The updated release is now generally available.
