Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW) announced the launch of Unit 42 Managed XSIAM 2.0, a managed security operations center service that includes a breach response guarantee providing 250 hours of incident response support.
The service combines 24/7 monitoring with the company's Cortex XSIAM platform, an AI-driven security operations center platform. The managed service aims to address cybersecurity talent shortages by providing organizations with security expertise and technology.
"Security is measured in outcomes, not alerts," said Karim Temsamani, President of Next Generation Security at Palo Alto Networks. "MSIAM 2.0 fuses the award-winning power of Cortex XSIAM with elite 24/7 proactive hunting and remediation to deliver total certainty."
The service includes support for third-party endpoint detection and response tools alongside existing security operations center tools. The breach response guarantee provides incident response hours to help organizations manage security incidents.
Craig Robinson, Research Vice President for Security Services at IDC, stated that organizations need managed security services that combine AI-driven automation with human expertise to respond to modern cyber threats.
The service is available immediately, with additional managed offerings built on the XSIAM platform available through Palo Alto Networks partners. For U.S. and Canadian public sector customers, the incident response hours will be delivered through a 12-month subscription service.
Palo Alto Networks reported that cyber attacks have compressed from taking weeks to minutes, according to the company's Unit 42 incident response report. The managed service is designed to reduce the time between attack detection and containment.
