Oracle launches AI tools for Fusion Applications to automate workflows

October 26, 2026 8:06 AM EDT

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced two new capabilities for its Fusion Cloud Applications suite: Fusion Companion and Fusion Agentic Home. The announcement was made at the Oracle AI World event in Las Vegas.

Fusion Companion acts as an intelligent layer that identifies and coordinates transactions, workflows, approvals, and AI agents within Oracle Fusion Applications. It allows users to access these capabilities through external AI tools, including ChatGPT, or through partner- and customer-built AI interfaces, while keeping execution within Oracle's security and permissions framework.

Oracle Fusion Agentic Home is a native AI experience within Oracle Fusion Applications that allows users to set business objectives and delegate tasks to AI agents, tracking progress through completion. It is designed to handle both routine tasks and complex business processes without requiring users to navigate individual applications or manually initiate workflows.

"AI is changing where enterprise work begins, but organizations need to maintain control over how that work gets done," said Chris Leone, executive vice president of Applications Development at Oracle. "Fusion Companion enables employees to define business objectives and execute work through the AI tools they already use, while Oracle Fusion provides the business context, execution capabilities, and enterprise controls needed to get that work done."

Fusion Companion can also connect with data and systems outside of Oracle Fusion Applications, coordinating actions across third-party cloud applications, data platforms, APIs, and external agents, subject to established permissions and controls.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications span finance, human resources, supply chain, manufacturing, sales, service, and marketing. Customers and partners can build and manage additional AI agents through Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications.
