Meta introduces Vibes AI video creation feed in updated app

Meta announced the launch of Vibes, a new feed for creating and sharing AI-generated videos within its Meta AI app and on meta.ai. The feature allows users to discover, create, and remix short-form AI videos.

The Vibes feed displays AI-generated videos from creators and communities, with personalization features that develop over time based on user preferences. Users can create original content from scratch, work with existing material, or remix videos from the feed by adding music, adjusting visual styles, and incorporating new elements.

The platform enables sharing across multiple channels, including direct posting to the Vibes feed, direct messaging to contacts, and cross-posting to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels. Users viewing Meta AI videos on Instagram can access remix functionality by tapping through to the Meta AI app.

Meta stated it is developing additional creation tools and models in collaboration with visual artists and creators, with plans for broader rollout in the future. The company described the current release as an early preview of the technology.

The Meta AI app continues to serve as a management hub for AI glasses and provides AI assistant functionality for answering questions and offering creative suggestions. The Vibes feature represents Meta's latest development in AI video technology as the company seeks user feedback to refine its tools.
