IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced the launch of IBM Digital Asset Haven, a platform designed for financial institutions, governments, and corporations to manage digital asset operations. The platform was developed in collaboration with Dfns, a digital wallet infrastructure provider.

The platform integrates IBM's infrastructure and security capabilities with Dfns' digital asset custody and management technology. Dfns has created 15 million wallets for over 250 clients, according to the press release.

IBM Digital Asset Haven includes transaction lifecycle management across more than 40 public and private blockchains, governance and entitlement management through multi-party authorization workflows, and integrated third-party solutions for identity verification and financial crime prevention. The platform features security measures including Multi-Party Computation and Hardware Security Module-based signing using IBM Crypto Express 8S HSMs.

"With IBM Digital Asset Haven, our clients have the opportunity to enter and expand into the digital asset space backed by IBM's level of security and reliability," said Tom McPherson, General Manager, IBM Z and LinuxONE.

Clarisse Hagège, CEO of Dfns, stated that the platform "goes beyond custody to orchestrate the full digital asset ecosystem, paving the way for digital assets to move from pilot programs to production at a global scale."

IBM Digital Asset Haven is expected to be available via Software as a Service in the fourth quarter of 2025, with Hybrid SaaS leveraging LinuxONE and IBM Z also planned for the fourth quarter of 2025. On-premises deployment is planned for the second quarter of 2026.
