Hertz Car Sales joins Amazon Autos platform for vehicle sales

Hertz Car Sales has partnered with Amazon Autos to offer thousands of pre-owned vehicles through the online marketplace, according to a company announcement. The collaboration makes Hertz the first fleet dealer on Amazon Autos.

Customers can browse, finance, and purchase Hertz vehicles through Amazon Autos, then pick up their cars at Hertz Car Sales locations. The service will initially launch in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle, with plans to expand to all 45 Hertz Car Sales locations nationwide.

The inventory includes vehicles from brands such as Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Nissan. Hertz certified vehicles undergo a 115-point inspection and come with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, 24-hour roadside assistance, and a 7-day/250-mile buy-back guarantee.

"Our goal is to reimagine the car-buying experience and meet customers where they are – whether online or in person – with convenience, confidence and scale," said Jeff Adams, Executive Vice President of Hertz Car Sales.

Fan Jin, Global Head of Amazon Autos, said the partnership expands the selection of vehicles available on the platform while maintaining Amazon's shopping experience.

Amazon Autos launched as a digital car-buying platform and recently expanded into used vehicle sales. Customers can search for available vehicles within 75 miles of their location through the service.

Hertz operates as one of the world's leading rental car companies and sells thousands of used vehicles annually through its car sales division. The company has 45 retail locations across the United States.
