Genesco Inc. (NYSE: GCO) announced the creation of the Journeys Global Retail Group, which combines its Journeys, schuh and Little Burgundy retail brands under a unified organization.

The Nashville-based footwear retailer promoted Andy Gray to serve as Chief Executive Officer of the new global retail group. Chris Santaella was named Chief Merchandising Officer for the organization, responsible for product strategies and merchant teams.

The organizational change affects Genesco's retail operations across more than 1,250 stores in North America, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Leadership for schuh and Little Burgundy will continue in their current roles and report through the new structure.

"Journeys, schuh and Little Burgundy are the destination retailers for the young, style-led female across their respective markets," said Mimi E. Vaughn, Board Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Genesco. "With unified global leadership, we will maximize opportunities, strengthen market positioning with the consumer, and drive even greater growth with our brand partners."

The company operates retail brands serving teens and young adults with fashion footwear, as well as Johnston & Murphy for premium footwear and accessories. Genesco Brands Group sells licensed footwear under brands including Wrangler, Dockers, Starter and PONY.
