Fiserv Inc. (NYSE: FI) announced the launch of Content Next, a cloud-based content management and workflow solution designed for financial institutions. The platform was developed in partnership with OpenText, a global information management company.

Content Next provides document storage, workflow automation, and system integration capabilities for banks and credit unions. The solution includes AI-powered features such as natural-language search, content classification, document summarization, and automated document processing.

The platform allows financial institutions to manage permissions, onboard users, and configure roles without IT assistance through self-service administration tools. It offers customizable workspaces for various banking functions including compliance, loan underwriting, risk management, and customer service.

"Content Next is more than a technology upgrade — it's a strategic leap forward in terms of operational modernization, reduction of risk and delivering exceptional experiences across the enterprise," said Whitney Russell, President of Digital and Financial Solutions at Fiserv.

The solution features a centralized repository with retention policies, version control, and audit trails, along with real-time analytics and reporting capabilities. It integrates with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace applications.

According to the KPMG 2025 Banking Survey cited in the announcement, automation ranks among the top five investment priorities for financial institutions. Industry research indicates automated systems can reduce manual processing time by up to 60% in areas such as loan processing and compliance reviews.

Fiserv and OpenText plan to demonstrate Content Next at the Fiserv Forum Client Conference 2025, with availability to clients beginning in 2026.
