CoreWeave launches engineering AI service for physical industries

CoreWeave (Nasdaq: CRWV) has launched a service called Physical AI Field Engineering, which pairs the company's engineers with customer teams to build, validate, and deploy AI models using customers' proprietary data across industries including automotive, aerospace, and robotics.

The offering is built on technology and methods CoreWeave acquired through its purchase of Monolith AI. Engineers from CoreWeave with backgrounds in automotive, aerospace, and mechanical engineering work on-site with customer teams, using data the customer already owns — such as test bench results, simulation output, and production sensors — to build and validate models.

According to the company's press release, the service has been applied across more than 100 engineering projects. One cited example involves the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, where CoreWeave engineers built a transcription model trained on seven hours of annotated race audio, refined over 75 iterations, that processes 40 radio channels simultaneously.

Engagements begin with an on-site scoping workshop and proceed through prototyping and deployment. The service covers four areas: strategy, simulation infrastructure, real-world data modeling, and agentic learning. Customers retain ownership of their data and the resulting models.

The service runs on CoreWeave's platform, which includes Weights & Biases for experiment tracking, marimo for data exploration, and CoreWeave ARIA for model and agent improvement.

"Engineering teams don't adopt a new method because a vendor proved it once in a demo," said Richard Ahlfeld, Senior Vice President of Physical AI at CoreWeave. "They adopt it once they've seen it hold up on their own systems."

Emma Deutsch, Director of Engineering & Test Operations at Nissan Technical Centre Europe, was quoted as saying the approach helps engineers use models to focus on vehicle quality, safety, and reliability.

CoreWeave, established in 2017, completed its Nasdaq listing in March 2025.
