Arrive AI (NASDAQ: ARAI), an autonomous logistics infrastructure company, reduced its total workforce by approximately 20% on August 14, 2026, according to a press release from the company.

The Indianapolis-based company said it expects the reduction to generate approximately $1.5 million in annualized cost savings. In connection with the layoffs, unvested restricted stock units representing approximately 450,000 shares of common stock were forfeited and returned to the company.

Management described the move as an evolution of its operating model, citing the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence as a factor that has changed what smaller teams can accomplish. The company said it is integrating AI into engineering, software development, product development, research, data analysis, marketing, finance, and administration.

"We have reached a point where a high-level team, aligned around a much more focused mission and amplified by AI, can accomplish substantially more," said Dan O'Toole, Founder and CEO of Arrive AI.

The company said the organizational changes occurred ahead of its original schedule, as management gained clarity on its priorities faster than initially anticipated.

O'Toole acknowledged the impact on affected employees. "Decisions affecting people's jobs are never made lightly, and we are grateful for the contributions of the employees affected by this recalibration," he said.

Arrive AI's platform supports drones, ground robotics, autonomous vehicles, autonomous mobile robots, and human couriers for goods exchange across logistics, healthcare, and enterprise delivery.
