Will Apple Move To AMD?

The Inquirer is reporting that Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) may begin to use AMD (NYSE: AMD) for one or more of its new Macs. With AMD's stock down sharply over the last year, it could use any good news. A design win from rival Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) might at least provide a ray of hope.

AMD may need money to help its balance sheet. Who knows, maybe Apple would make an investment for preferred terms on AMD's next generation of chips.
