Charter, Google, Pitney Bowes Hit 52-Week High

CONTRIBUTOR http://www.antandsons.com : Charter Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: CHTR) shares are trading higher today, up $.09, or 4.86%, to $1.94 after briefly hitting a 52-week high of $1.99. Charter has been higher as of late due to the upswing in the cable/broadband sector that has been led by Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) . Volume in the early afternoon trading session is approaching almost double the daily average volume of 9.4 million. Charter stock has more than doubled since its early March lows, so profit taking should not be totally unexpected at this point. Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) shares are also trading higher today, up $.60, or 1.30%, to $46.93 after nearing a 52-week high of $47.06. This positive spurt comes ahead of the third quarter earnings release that is due out after the close of trading. Finally, Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG) is tacking on some additional gains, up $21.49, or 4.68%, to $480.78 on double the average daily volume. Google reported earnings last week that blew away analyst estimates and announced it would be diving into mobile and video ads.
