Gold and Silver Higher; Gold Up $5
Gold and Silver are higher today, but off the highs: Gold +5.3 to $1173.70. Silver is up $0.303 to $17.92.
The move comes following the recent sell-off after reaching record highs above $1260 in June. The precious metals might be seeing interest related to comments from St. Louis Fed President James Bullard that quantitative easing may be needed to avoid Japaneses-style deflation.
