Vancouver Public Library Workers Vote to Take Strike Action
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Unable to negotiate a new collective agreement with the Vancouver Public Library, workers represented by CUPE 391 have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action. Tomorrow, CUPE 391 members will be holding a leafleting session outside Vancouver Public Library’s Central Branch to update the public on what’s happening with the bargaining process. Amir Abbey, a Vancouver Public Library worker and president of CUPE 391, will be available to media for comment on bargaining.
