Patrick Gorman Joins Ericsson Federal as Chief Technology Officer

Veteran technology and national security leader brings more than 40 years of government and commercial experience to Ericsson Federal.

VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ericsson Federal Technologies Group (Ericsson Federal) is proud to welcome Patrick Gorman as its Chief Technology Officer. Gorman will help shape the company’s technology strategy and advance secure, mission-ready communications solutions for U.S. government customers.

Gorman most recently served as an Executive Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he held leadership roles in the firm’s 5G and cyber practice and led its cyber and digital incubators. He previously served as Head of Strategy and Product at CyberGRX, Chief Security Officer at Bridgewater Associates, and Global Chief Information Security Officer at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.

His federal service spans intelligence, cybersecurity, defense, and homeland security. Gorman served as Assistant Director of National Intelligence and Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Intelligence Community, helping establish the Transportation Security Administration following September 11 and contributing to the development of U.S. Department of Defense doctrine for network-centric warfare and cyberwarfare. He also served more than a decade in the U.S. Air Force in signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and psychological operations.

Gorman holds degrees in government and economics from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in Russian and Eastern European Studies from George Washington University. He also completed an executive program at Harvard Business School and graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Russian and Serbo-Croatian languages. Gorman also serves on several boards focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and privacy.
