Nokian Tyres Introduces Ultra-High-Performance Tire With Long Tread Life

DAYTON, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nokian Tyres has launched the Nokian Tyres Surpass™ AS01, an ultra-high-performance tire designed to deliver key advantages over other tires made for high-octane vehicles.

The Surpass AS01 is equipped with a treadwear warranty of 55,000 miles, above the average for a high-performance tire. And the tire’s sidewalls are infused with puncture-resistant Aramid fibers, the same material used in bulletproof vests.

A high-silica rubber compound enables the tire to hug hairpin turns without compromising durability. A reimagined tread pattern channels water from the road for responsive braking. And a low-rolling-resistance structure helps the tire serve as a seamless fit for EV drivers and anyone who wants to increase mileage per fill-up or charge.

As with the latest generations of its tires, Nokian Tyres offers the Surpass AS01 with a Pothole Protection warranty. The company will replace tires damaged beyond repair by a pothole or road hazard.* The Surpass AS01 stands up to potholes thanks to Aramid fibers, the same material used in the defense and aerospace industries. Aramid helps sidewalls stay intact on rough surfaces without compromising performance or efficiency.

The Nokian Tyres Surpass AS01 started shipping in early January to tire shops across North America. Nokian Tyres offers the Surpass AS01 in 65 sizes, ranging from 16 to 21 inches.
