Metronet Connects First Killeen Residents to 100% Fiber-Optic Internet

Construction Expands to More Killeen Neighborhoods

EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Metronet, recognized as PCMag’s “Fastest Major ISP in the Country” for two consecutive years, has officially launched in Killeen, Texas, with the first residents gaining access to its 100% fiber-optic internet service. Residents can access speeds up to 5 gigabits per second, while businesses can reach up to 10 gigabits per second.

Construction in Killeen began in the spring of 2024, and the network will continue to expand neighborhood by neighborhood. As installations progress, more homes and businesses will gain access to Metronet’s state-of-the-art internet services.
