Lyric Promotes Three Executives to Senior Vice President Roles
Expanded leadership team strengthens the company’s ability to scale as Lyric advances its healthcare decision intelligence platform
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Lyric, a healthcare decision intelligence company helping health plans make faster, more accurate, and more transparent payment decisions, today announced the promotion of Alex Ulyanov to SVP, Engineering; Emily Ball to SVP, GM Editing Solutions; and Maureen Bevis to SVP, Finance effective September 30.
The promotions expand Lyric’s executive leadership capacity as the company enters its next phase of growth. The appointments follow a period of significant momentum for Lyric, including the acquisition of Concert, the establishment of its headquarters in Nashville, and the continued expansion of Lyric42 and its healthcare decision intelligence capabilities.
Each executive brings a track record of taking on responsibilities beyond their previous roles and helping Lyric build the capabilities required to operate at greater scale.
“Rapid growth and innovation change what a company needs from its leadership team,” said Halsey Wise, Lyric CEO. “Alex, Emily, and Maureen are action-oriented leaders with relentless initiative and have each demonstrated that they can think beyond their individual functions and lead with an enterprise perspective. Each of these leaders execute with a client-centric mindset while being a strong ambassador for Lyric’s values. These promotions recognize the impact they are already having and strengthen the leadership capacity we need for Lyric’s next chapter.”
Scaling engineering for the next phase
Ulyanov, who joined Lyric in 2023 as VP, Engineering, has helped transform the company’s engineering organization as Lyric has expanded its technology platform.
Ulyanov unified legacy and next-generation platforms under a single operating model and expanded his leadership across Core Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Product, Experience Design, Data Engineering, AI, and Technology Operations, with the primary focus being Lyric42 and Studio42 engineering.
As SVP, Engineering, Ulyanov will continue to lead the engineering organization as Lyric expands its technology capabilities and scales the platform to support growing demand from health plans.
Expanding the Editing Solutions business
Ball, who joined Lyric in 2023 and was promoted to GM, Prepay Editing & GTM Strategic Initiatives in April 2026, will become SVP, GM Editing Solutions.
Ball built Lyric’s Revenue Operations, GTM Enablement, and Strategic Initiatives function from the ground up, establishing the operating model, processes, and team to support scalable growth.
Additionally, she led a comprehensive strategic assessment of Lyric's Secondary Market business, helping shape the company's long-term growth outlook and investment priorities. Her work evaluating the strategic and economic value of the Concert acquisition directly informed the investment decision.
In her new role, Ball will lead Editing Solutions as Lyric continues to deepen its capabilities across payment integrity, clinical policy, and claims orchestration.
Strengthening financial leadership
Bevis, who joined Lyric in 2022 as Controller, has provided strategic finance leadership well beyond the role’s traditional scope. As SVP, Finance, she will take on broader responsibilities across the Finance organization, initially including the transition to a new Controller.
During her tenure, Bevis has led financial analysis and decision support for growth initiatives, including automation within the finance organization as well as enterprise-level transformations following Lyric’s initial carve-out transaction. She has also served as the Finance lead on M&A analysis and integration, including the ClaimShark and Concert acquisitions, and established Lyric’s India Finance team.
Her promotion comes as Lyric continues to make investments and strategic decisions required to support its expanding platform, client base, and global organization.
Building the leadership capacity for growth
The promotions reflect a deliberate expansion of Lyric’s enterprise leadership team as the company grows its platform and geographic footprint. Lyric recently established its headquarters in Nashville following the acquisition of Concert, adding a new hub for strategic client engagement and access to the region’s deep healthcare talent base. The company continues to operate from its offices in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania; Manila, Philippines; and Hyderabad, India.
Lyric now supports more than 100 health plan clients and validates more than 10 billion claims annually, with clients realizing more than $20 billion in annual savings. The company employs more than 700 people globally.
“Lyric has built considerable momentum, and our opportunity now is to build the organization that can sustain and accelerate it,” said Ravi Umarji, Lyric President and CFO. “These promotions give us greater leadership depth across the business while recognizing three executives who have already demonstrated the judgment, expertise, and enterprise perspective to help lead Lyric forward.”
