New 60,000-square-foot facility expands Loft Federal’s infrastructure for secure mission engineering, payload integration, mission software development, and government customer collaboration

ARVADA, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Loft Federal today announced the opening of its new Candelas Innovation federal operations and integration facility in Arvada, Colorado, expanding the company’s dedicated infrastructure for U.S. Government space mission support.

The 60,000-square-foot facility is designed to support secure mission engineering, payload and software integration, government program execution, customer collaboration, and future mission operations support for defense, intelligence, and civil government space missions. The site provides Loft Federal with a dedicated environment to develop, integrate, test, and demonstrate mission payload concepts and operational software capabilities in coordination with government customers, industry teammates, and mission partners.

Initial cleanroom capabilities will be ready in October, with three additional spaces being prepped to meet the ICD 705 standards. Capabilities will include secure development environments, mission engineering workspaces, and payload and mission integration laboratory areas. Planned future capabilities include expanded mission operations support environments, autonomy testing, mission planning tools, and infrastructure designed to support classified program requirements subject to applicable security approvals.

The new site supports Loft Federal’s focus on mission payload development for priority government space mission areas, including tactical ISR, missile warning and tracking, autonomy-enabled mission operations, secure payload operations, and operational mission software. It also supports continued development of Loft Federal’s mission autonomy architecture, including VAULT, the company’s onboard mission execution and edge autonomy framework.

“Our federal customers need reliable access to orbit, and mission systems that can be engineered, integrated, secured, tested, and operated against real operational requirements,” said Chris Daywalt, Vice President of Growth at Loft Federal. “This facility provides the dedicated infrastructure required to support this mission model, from payload integration and mission software development through future secure operations support.”

The company stated the site was intentionally designed to support closer collaboration with government customers, mission partners, and industry teammates while enabling scalable execution across future national security mission programs.

The opening reflects Loft Federal’s continued investment in operational infrastructure, secure mission support, and government-focused mission delivery capabilities. Loft Federal expects the site to support 100 employees, contractors, and mission partners as operations expand.

Operational Advantage Starts in Orbit.
