InXpress Names Shippo Engineering Leader Bryan Eddy as CTO
Shipping technology leader brings e-commerce expertise to global 3PL as InXpress advances its unified parcel and freight platform
SANDY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- InXpress, a global third-party logistics (3PL) provider and authorized reseller of DHL and UPS shipping services, today announced the appointment of Bryan Eddy as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Eddy joins InXpress following three years at Shippo, a leading e-commerce shipping technology platform, bringing direct industry experience to the company's continued investment in technology that simplifies shipping for small and mid-sized businesses.
For more than 25 years, InXpress has connected businesses with international and domestic shipping solutions through its global franchise network. As shippers increasingly expect the same intuitive, consumer-grade digital experiences they encounter in their everyday lives, InXpress is focused on combining the expertise of its local shipping specialists with technology that makes complex shipping decisions easier. At the same time, these capabilities are essential to helping franchise owners compete more effectively in their markets, delivering greater value to customers and operating their businesses more effectively.
"Business shippers shouldn't need to be logistics experts to make smart shipping decisions," said Clinton Squadroni, Chief Executive Officer of InXpress. "They should be able to access reliable carrier options, understand the trade-offs, and choose the solution that works best for their business through technology that's as intuitive as the applications they use every day. For our franchisees and their sales teams, that technology needs to be a tool for growth, helping them win new business and strengthen customer relationships. Bryan understands both sides of that equation, and his experience at the intersection of shipping technology and e-commerce brings an important perspective as we continue advancing the capabilities of our platform."
At Shippo, Eddy served as Director of Engineering and Head of Engineering for its B2B business unit, leading more than 50 engineering professionals across six teams. Working closely with product and commercial leadership, he helped drive technology strategy and execution for a business unit that achieved annual revenue growth exceeding 30%. His work also included improving platform reliability and accelerating engineering productivity through the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Eddy's experience is particularly relevant as InXpress expands its capabilities to serve a market in which online sales channels increasingly shape how businesses manage fulfillment and shipping. His background provides firsthand insight into the operational demands of modern e-commerce brands and the technology integrations needed to connect shipping more seamlessly with their day-to-day operations.
As CTO, Eddy will lead InXpress's global technology strategy, including the continued development of WebShipXTM, its proprietary transportation management system. The platform brings parcel and freight shipping capabilities together, allowing customers to evaluate carrier options across shipping modes through a unified experience. The InXpress technology roadmap focuses on strengthening the platform experience and expanding e-commerce connectivity, with an emphasis on capabilities that create tangible value for both shippers and franchise owners.
"The expectations of business shippers have changed significantly, particularly as e-commerce has transformed how businesses sell and fulfill orders," said Eddy. "They want technology that is reliable, works naturally within their operations, removes unnecessary complexity, and gives them confidence in their shipping decisions. What excites me about InXpress is the opportunity to pair that kind of digital experience with the carrier relationships and personal expertise of an established global logistics network. When we make shipping easier for customers, we also give our franchises a stronger foundation for growing their businesses."
Eddy previously held senior engineering and technology architecture roles at Nortal, where he led large development teams and helped enterprise clients design and scale complex technology platforms.
