FreeCast Appoints Commercial Sales Veteran Erik Genrich as Chief Revenue Officer
New CRO Genrich brings years of enterprise sales experience in the broadband and telecom space to the company.
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- FreeCast is announcing the addition of Erik Genrich to its leadership team. Genrich joins the company as Chief Revenue Officer, where he will lead the company’s development of commercial partnerships across multiple industries. This is a critical role, as FreeCast’s business model promises higher margins and reduced churn as a direct result of its relationships with distribution and advertising partners.
Erik Genrich joins FreeCast following roles as a Vice President for Hotwire Communications, a nationally known fiber-optic internet service provider, Regional Director for Lumen Technologies (formerly known as CenturyLink), and a Regional Manager for T-Mobile. This amounts to over 25 years of experience leading telecom teams in sales and operations, particularly in the MDU, HOA/COA, hospitality, developer, and reseller channels.
FreeCast CEO William Mobley explained the decision to bring Genrich onboard: “Erik is a fantastic fit for us because he has so much relevant experience. Coming from the telecom industry, he’s used to talking to the types of commercial customers that we’re going after, and really, our products are the next iteration of, or closely related to, the ones he was selling in previous roles. Fiber internet and streaming video are where everyone’s going as they move on from older IPTV and telco infrastructure. Erik’s experience, industry knowledge, and relationships in those spaces are all transferrable and hugely valuable to us right now.”
