PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Axcelus Financial (“Axcelus”), a leading provider of private placement life insurance and annuities, today announced updates to its distribution leadership team, strengthening its position as an industry leader. John Fischer, Co-Founder of Axcelus Financial, will take on the new role of Senior EVP & International Head of Distribution, and Jim Totten, formerly Market Leader at Invesco, has joined the firm as EVP & U.S. Head of Distribution.

Mr. Fischer is an industry pioneer and has been actively engaged in developing strategic insurance solutions for over 30 years. He will lead Axcelus’ international growth initiative, while continuing to contribute his experience to support the team within U.S. markets.

Mr. Totten will be responsible for driving client engagement and managing distribution in the U.S. Bringing over 30 years of experience in business development, with a focus on investment and insurance strategies, to the role, Jim previously held senior positions at Invesco, Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, MetLife Investors, and AIG.
