Aviz Networks and Clastix Partner to Automate AI Networking
Collaboration brings together Kubernetes platform management and network orchestration to simplify multi-tenant GPU infrastructure.
SAN JOSE, Calif., and NAPLES, Italy--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aviz Networks, a provider of network automation software for AI factories, and Clastix, a provider of Kubernetes infrastructure software, today announced a partnership to develop network automation for AI factories. The companies are working to bring together the Kubernetes platform capabilities of Clastix, an NVIDIA Inception program member, with the Aviz AI Factory stack, Aviz’s NVIDIA-certified network automation software, to help operators simplify how they deploy and operate multi-tenant GPU environments.
Organizations building AI infrastructure need more than GPU servers. They need to provision compute environments and connect them to the network, storage and services their workloads rely on. These processes often involve multiple teams and manual steps, which can slow deployment and tenant onboarding.
Through the partnership, Clastix brings capabilities for provisioning and managing Kubernetes environments on infrastructure, including bare metal, while Aviz automates networking for GPU infrastructure. Together, the companies aim to help operators coordinate these layers, establish tenant connectivity and reduce the manual work involved in bringing environments online.
The collaboration is intended to help GPU cloud providers, neoclouds and enterprises:
- Bring GPU environments online faster. Streamline the coordination between Kubernetes and GPU infrastructure provisioning and the underlying network fabric. By integrating Clastix’s cloud-native infrastructure capabilities with Aviz ONES, operators can reduce the number of manual steps required to connect newly provisioned compute resources to the appropriate network services and accelerate infrastructure readiness.
- Enable end-to-end multi-tenant connectivity. Extend tenant provisioning from the Kubernetes and compute environment into the AI network fabric. Tenant identity and network requirements can be translated into the appropriate fabric configuration, helping operators create isolated connectivity for multiple customers, teams or workloads across shared GPU infrastructure.
- Automate network provisioning as GPU infrastructure scales. Reduce repetitive switch-by-switch configuration by using Aviz ONES to automate network configuration across AI fabrics as new GPU servers, clusters and tenant environments are added. This helps infrastructure teams scale their environments without a corresponding increase in manual network operations.
- Improve consistency across compute and network operations. Align Kubernetes infrastructure lifecycle events with network provisioning so that compute and network resources can be brought online using a coordinated workflow. This helps reduce configuration errors and provides operators with a more consistent operational model across the GPU infrastructure stack.
- Simplify Day-2 operations for shared GPU environments. Provide infrastructure teams with centralized visibility and automation for ongoing network operations as tenant environments evolve, including adding or removing compute capacity, updating connectivity and maintaining the underlying AI fabric.
“GPU capacity creates value when customers can access it and put it to work. By working with Clastix, we aim to bring compute and network operations closer together, helping operators bring infrastructure online, onboard tenants faster and turn GPU capacity into revenue sooner,” said Vishal Shukla, CEO of Aviz Networks.
“Our customers want the flexibility of running infrastructure they control, with the simplicity of a cloud-like experience. Working with Aviz Networks, we aim to bring network automation closer to Kubernetes operations, helping customers deploy and scale cloud infrastructures on bare metal,” said Adriano Pezzuto, co-founder and CEO of Clastix.
The companies will share details on availability and supported configurations as the collaboration progresses.
