Arkansas Virtual Academy Celebrates Commencement

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA), an online public school serving K-12 students throughout the state, will celebrate the Class of 2021 during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8th and Thursday, May 13th.

Collectively, the Class of 2021—which includes more than 300 graduates—reports it has been accepted to trade schools, colleges and universities across the country, including: the University of Arkansas, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Arkansas State University, Texas A&M University, the University of Memphis, and Pacific Lutheran University.

“In a year filled with unprecedented challenges, our graduates have truly thrived in the personalized learning environment we’ve offered them,” said ARVA’s Head of School Amy Johnson. “ARVA teachers and staff have been devoted to their academic and personal success. Students enroll in ARVA for a number of reasons—some are looking to escape bullying, some may have fallen academically off track, and others are looking for an alternative to the traditional classroom setting. ARVA students access a robust online curriculum in the core subjects of math, science, English language arts, history, art and music as well as a host of electives. These live virtual classes are taught by Arkansas-certified teachers.
