Altera Authorized as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA)

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Altera Corporation, the world’s largest independent provider of pure-play FPGA solutions, today announced that it has been authorized by the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) Program as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA).

The CVE Program’s mission is to identify, define, and catalog publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities. As a newly authorized CNA, Altera is empowered to assign CVE IDs to vulnerabilities within its defined scope and publish CVE records that provide consistent, industry-recognized descriptions of security issues. This designation strengthens Altera’s commitment to transparency and collaboration in cybersecurity, ensuring that customers, partners, and the broader technology community can quickly identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in Altera products and services.
