Affinity Plus Introduces Installment Payment Option for Credit Cards
An industry trend in helping budget larger purchases is now available at Affinity Plus
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union is now offering its members an installment-payment option on qualifying credit card purchases, giving them affordability and predictability with paying off larger purchases. These qualifying purchases can range from $100 and $9999.99.
“We wanted to provide an opportunity for our members to be able to budget better for larger purchases on their credit cards, so they can pay off the debt in a timely manner. This ultimately allows for predictable payments and savings on interest,” said Nic Peterson, Vice President of Payment Systems at Affinity Plus.
The new installment payment option gives Visa® Premier Select Rewards and Premier Classic cardholders 3 options to break up their eligible purchase over multiple payments. If the option applies to your purchase, it will include 3 fixed rates tied to 3 terms, ranging from 3 to 18 months.
Once the member selects the rate and the term, this fixed monthly amount for the qualified purchase is added to their minimum monthly payment obligation.
“With terms and rates specific to the purchase, the installment payment option on qualifying purchases can keep more of our members’ money in their own pockets,” Peterson said.
