Acumentrics Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification Following Successful Third-Party Assessment
Independent C3PAO assessment confirms Acumentrics meets Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements for safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information
WALPOLE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Acumentrics, a leading provider of rugged, mission-critical power solutions for defense and industrial applications, today announced that it has successfully passed a third-party assessment and achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2. The certification confirms that Acumentrics meets the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) standards for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) across its systems and operations.
The assessment was conducted by Cybersec Investments, an accredited CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO), which independently evaluated Acumentrics against the 110 security requirements defined in NIST Special Publication 800-171. Achieving CMMC Level 2 demonstrates that Acumentrics has implemented and operationalized the cybersecurity practices required to serve as a trusted partner within the defense industrial base.
“Earning CMMC Level 2 certification reflects Acumentrics' deep commitment to the security of our customers and the missions they support. Our customers trust us to deliver power solutions where failure is not an option, and that same standard now extends to how we protect their information. This certification is a testament to the hard work of our team and reinforces our readiness to continue supporting the Department of Defense and its partners.”
— John Cerulli, Chief Executive Officer, Acumentrics
CMMC is the DoD's framework for verifying that contractors and subcontractors have the cybersecurity controls in place to protect sensitive federal information. Level 2 certification, aligned with NIST SP 800-171, is required for organizations that handle CUI and is a prerequisite for many current and future defense contracts. The independent, third-party nature of the assessment provides customers and government stakeholders with objective assurance that the required safeguards are not only documented but actively enforced.
The certification adds to Acumentrics' established record of compliance and quality standards. The company's military-grade products are TAA compliant and BAA certified, and its rugged power systems are tested and proven to demanding military standards including MIL-STD-810G and MIL-S-901D. With CMMC Level 2 certification, Acumentrics further strengthens its position as a reliable, secure supplier for mission-critical defense programs.
Acumentrics would like to extend our sincere gratitude to C3 Integrated Solutions for their invaluable partnership throughout our CMMC Level 2 certification journey. Their expertise, guidance, and commitment to our cybersecurity posture were instrumental in achieving this milestone. We look forward to continuing our partnership as we maintain and build upon this certification.
