iMetal Resources names mining veteran Michel Dufresne to its board

iMetal Resources, Inc. (TSXV: IMR) (OTCQB: IMRFF) has appointed Michel Dufresne, a veteran mining executive, to its board of directors, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.

Dufresne was nominated by McFarlane Lake Mining Limited (CSE: MLM) in connection with its recent investment in iMetal, which made it the company's largest shareholder.

Dufresne's career includes serving as Vice President of Projects at Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., where he directed exploration and feasibility initiatives in South Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He previously served as General Manager of Falconbridge Ltd.'s Sudbury Mines/Mill Business Unit, overseeing a $350 million budget, and as Project Director for the $550 million Kidd Mine "D" expansion in Timmins, Ontario.

His experience also includes serving as General Manager for Falconbridge Chile S.A., managing interests in the $1.8 billion Collahuasi Copper Project, and serving on committees related to Falconbridge's Koniambo nickel development, which had an initial investment of $1.4 billion. He also served as Project Manager for the $388 million Raglan Project in Northern Quebec.

iMetal is a Canadian junior exploration company focused on gold and critical mineral properties in Ontario and Quebec. Its flagship Gowganda West project is located in the southern Abitibi Greenstone Gold Belt, approximately 100 km south-southeast of the Timmins Gold Camp.
