XiFin, a revenue cycle management and billing solutions company, announced new growth capital investment and the appointment of Jeff Margolis to its board of directors. The funding round was led by Goldman Sachs External Investing Group alongside majority investor Avista Healthcare Partners and other institutional investors. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The investment follows XiFin's reported 19% year-over-year growth driven by adoption of its XiFin Empower platform. The company provides AI-enhanced revenue cycle management solutions for healthcare organizations.

"XiFin is uniquely positioned to capitalize on an inflection point in the industry, with AI presenting a once-in-a-generation opportunity to modernize RCM," said Erik Sallee, chief financial officer at XiFin.

Marc Boheim, head of co-investments at Goldman Sachs External Investing Group, stated the investment reflects confidence in XiFin's technology platform and growth trajectory.

Margolis brings over 35 years of healthcare technology experience, having previously served as CEO of multiple companies including founding TriZetto. He currently serves as senior advisor to Blackstone and board member for multiple companies. Margolis has authored several books on healthcare, including "The Healthcare Cure" and "Not Just in Sickness...but Also in Health."

XiFin's Empower platform combines automation, data analytics and AI to streamline revenue cycle workflows for healthcare providers. The San Diego-based company serves hospitals, health systems, pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.

Avista Healthcare Partners, founded in 2005, is a New York-based private equity firm with over $10 billion invested in 50 healthcare businesses globally. Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) manages over $500 billion in alternative assets with more than 30 years of experience in the sector.
