Woodlands Bank names Jay B. Alexander as board chairman
Woodlands Financial Services Company (OTC-PINK: WDFN) appointed Jay B. Alexander as chairman of the board of directors for both the company and Woodlands Bank, effective September 22, 2025.
Alexander has served as an independent director of the company and bank since 2022. The appointment creates a separate chairman position from the chief executive officer role, which remains held by Jon P. Conklin.
"I am honored to serve as Chairman of the Board," Alexander stated in the announcement. "I am confident that the leadership and business experience that I have attained over the course of my career coupled with my strong commitment to community involvement and unwavering support of the vital role served by community banks as the engine of economic development across the country will provide a perfect foundation for working with the Board and management."
The company said the governance change was made to strengthen corporate governance and align interests of shareholders, directors and management. Conklin, who serves as president and CEO of both entities, welcomed the appointment.
"I welcome the appointment of Jay to the role of Chairman of the Board, and I look forward to working closer with him in that role to make Woodlands Bank the community bank of choice in our current markets and beyond," Conklin stated.
Woodlands Financial Services Company operates as a holding company for Woodlands Bank and Woodlands Stock Corporation. The company provides commercial and consumer banking and trust services in Lycoming and Clinton Counties in Pennsylvania.
