Wolfspeed adds semiconductor veteran Andy Mattes to its board

Wolfspeed, Inc. (NYSE: WOLF) has appointed Andy W. Mattes to its board of directors, effective immediately, according to a company press release.
Mattes brings more than 40 years of experience in the semiconductor and advanced technology industries. He previously served as chief executive officer of Coherent and Diebold Nixdorf, and held senior leadership roles at Hewlett Packard, Siemens, and McKinsey & Company.
Mattes currently serves on the boards of AT&S AG, ams OSRAM AG, and Cohu, Inc., and has more than two decades of public-company board experience.
Robert Feurle, CEO of Wolfspeed, said in the statement: "We are pleased to welcome Andy to the Board as Wolfspeed enters its next phase of growth."
Mattes commented on the appointment: "I am excited to join Wolfspeed at this pivotal time in its evolution and to contribute to the company's mission, strategy and future growth."
Wolfspeed is based in Durham, N.C., and develops silicon carbide semiconductor technology used in power electronics and industrial applications.
