W.O. Grubb names Ted Redmond CEO amid leadership expansion
W.O. Grubb, a Richmond, Virginia-based specialty equipment and lifting services company backed by private investment firm Halo Partners, L.P., has appointed Ted Redmond as Chief Executive Officer, along with several other senior leadership and board additions.
Redmond, who joined the company on August 24, 2026, brings more than two decades of experience in rental and industrial services. He previously served as EVP and Chief Operating Officer of Black Diamond Group's (TSX: BDI) largest operating segment and as President and CEO of NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services, where he more than doubled revenue before a sale of the company. He also held a CEO role at a public company and began his career at Boston Consulting Group.
Dustin Fisher has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Fisher joins after more than two decades at The Hertz Corporation, where he held senior finance roles including CFO of Global Operations. Michael Good, who joined Grubb in 2016 following a 30-year career at AmQuip Crane, transitions to SVP of Operations.
Two industry veterans have joined Grubb's Board of Directors. Albert Bove brings more than five decades of crane rental experience, including CEO roles at AmQuip Crane and Maxim Crane Works. Brad Creswell, co-founder of Seattle-based NCA Partners, brings more than 40 years of private equity and finance experience.
Additional appointments include Bora Welsh as Head of FP&A, James Bryan as Controller, and Bill Smith as VP of Risk Management. Welsh and Bryan both previously held senior finance roles at Hertz.
Founded in 1962, W.O. Grubb operates 13 branches across the Mid-Atlantic and employs approximately 450 people. The company provides specialty equipment, lifting, rigging, warehousing, logistics, and engineering solutions to infrastructure, data center, and industrial markets.
