VIQ Solutions Inc. (TSX: VQS), a global provider of secure, AI-driven, digital voice and video capture technology and transcription services, today announces the conclusion of the Company’s strategic review process. The Strategic Review was first announced on February 3, 2025, and was overseen by a special committee of the board of directors of the Company with assistance from legal and financial advisors.
During the Strategic Review, VIQ Solutions carefully assessed a number of transaction proposals and strategic alternatives. After a thorough evaluation, the Special Committee concluded that the best path to maximizing shareholder value is to continue executing the Company’s existing business plan as a public company. This decision was supported by the momentum gained in 2024 and the expectation of continued technology-driven operational and financial improvements in 2025.
Looking ahead, VIQ Solutions will remain focused on enhancing operational efficiencies, expanding margins through an automation-first strategy, and maintaining disciplined cost management while scaling its global technology platform. With a strong foundation for sustainable growth and long-term value creation, the Company appreciates the continued support of its shareholders as it advances its strategic initiatives.
Following the conclusion of the Strategic Review, David Sharma, a director of the Company, and the sole member of the Special Committee, resigned from the Board effective March 20th, 2025. Mr. Sharma joined the Board in September 2024 and has been a valued member of the Board, particularly in connection with his contributions as a member of the Special Committee.
