Trisura Group appoints Chris Sekine to board, Robert Taylor retires

Trisura Group Ltd. (TSX: TSU) announced the appointment of Chris Sekine to its board of directors and the retirement of Robert Taylor, according to a company statement.
Sekine previously served as president and CEO of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company from 2018 to 2024 and has been with the company since its inception in 2006 when he established the surety line of business. In 2025, he transitioned from day-to-day operations to serve as executive director on the board of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company and chair of the board of First Founders Assurance Company.
Taylor, a co-founder of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company, served as CEO from the company's inception in 2006 until 2012. He then served as chairman and director of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company from 2013 to 2017. Taylor will continue to serve as a director on the board of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company.
Sekine is expected to stand for election to the board of directors at the company's annual meeting of shareholders this year. He has over 30 years of experience in the surety and insurance industry and has held senior executive roles in the Canadian operations of two international insurers. He has also served as a board member for the Surety Association of Canada.

Trisura Group operates as a specialty insurance provider in surety, warranty, corporate insurance, program and fronting business lines, with operations primarily in Canada and the United States.
