Thunder Mountain Gold Inc. (TSXV: THM) (OTCQB: THMG) announced the appointment of Ralph Noyes as chairman of the board, splitting the chairman role from the president and chief executive officer positions.

Noyes has served on Thunder Mountain Gold's board since 2016 and brings over 45 years of international mining experience. He previously held executive positions at Hecla Mining Company, where he served as manager of mines and vice president of metal mining with responsibility for multiple mining operations across North America.

During his tenure at Hecla Mining, Noyes oversaw operations at several mines including the Yellow Pine Mine in Idaho, Lucky Friday lead silver mine in Idaho's Silver Valley, and Republic-Knob Hill Mine in Washington state. His team discovered and developed the Golden Promise deposit in Republic and the Gold Hunter deposit near the Lucky Friday Mine in Idaho.

Following his mining career, Noyes spent 15 years in investment portfolio management with Salomon Smith Barney and later Wells Fargo Advisors, specializing in working with mining executives and small businesses.

"Ralph has served on the Thunder Mountain Gold Board since 2016, and has excellent board and executive level experience from his years as a mining company executive and consultant," said Eric T. Jones, president and CEO.

Thunder Mountain Gold, founded in 1935, is a junior exploration company focused on base and precious metals projects in the western United States. The company's primary asset is the South Mountain Mine in Owyhee County, Idaho, a former Anaconda Mining development containing zinc, silver, gold, lead, and copper.

The information is based on a company press release.
