Thumzup appoints Chris Ensey to board ahead of DogeHash merger

Thumzup Media Corporation (NASDAQ: TZUP) announced the appointment of Chris Ensey to its board of directors, effective October 14, 2025. The appointment comes as the company prepares for a planned merger with Dogehash Technologies, Inc.



Ensey currently serves as chief executive officer of Aligned, a data and technology firm focused on GPU cloud services for AI and high performance computing applications. He previously held executive positions at Riot Blockchain, serving as both chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer. Ensey also worked as a founding executive of Gryphon Digital Mining, now known as American Bitcoin Mining Corp.



The executive has more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data center development. His career includes roles at BlueVoyant, SafeNet, IBM, SAIC, and Dunbar Security Solutions, where he worked on cybersecurity and infrastructure programs. Ensey also co-founded Gulp Data, a company focused on data valuation and financing.



"Chris brings an exceptional track record in technology and risk mitigation, experience that aligns perfectly with Thumzup's evolving vision," said Robert Steele, CEO of Thumzup, according to the company's statement. "As we continue advancing towards effectuating the DogeHash merger and expanding our presence in the digital asset ecosystem, his expertise will be invaluable in guiding Thumzup's next chapter of growth and innovation."



Thumzup describes itself as a digital asset accumulator and advertising industry company. The company's board has authorized expansion of its treasury strategy beyond Bitcoin to include cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin, Litecoin, Solana, Ripple, Ether, and USD Coin.
