Theraclion names Vincent Gardès as board chairman

Theraclion (Euronext Growth Paris: ALTHE), a French medical technology company, announced that its board of directors appointed Vincent Gardès as chairman, effective July 8, 2026.

Gardès succeeds Claude Lenoir, who had served as interim chairman since June 18, 2026, and who remains a director of the company. Gardès had been a director of Theraclion since the general meeting of June 18, 2026, after serving as an observer in the preceding months.

Gardès has approximately 30 years of experience in the medical device sector. He previously served as CEO of Vexim, leading the company through its acquisition by U.S. group Stryker. He subsequently led Germitec, overseeing its commercial development in Europe and its entry into the U.S. market, and currently serves at Amber Implants during its commercialization phase.

"I look forward to putting my experience at the service of Theraclion, alongside the Board of Directors and the executive team, to reach the next stages of its development and accelerate the deployment of its commercial strategy."

Theraclion develops Sonovein, a robotic platform using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound for varicose vein treatment. The device holds CE marking under MDR regulations and has been used in more than 4,000 procedures across more than a dozen centers worldwide. The company has submitted Sonovein to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and received a Category III CPT code in the United States, where the device is not yet available for sale.

Theraclion is based in Malakoff, France, and employs approximately 40 people.
